☀️STEWARD CALL OUT☀️ We are looking for a steward ☀️STEWARD CALL OUT☀️ We are looking for a stewarding team for a small Happy Valley Pride community parade on Saturday 25th July in Hebden Bridge. If you have stewarded before and would like to join us, we’d love to hear from you. If you have never done this before but enjoy outdoor events and would like to be involved in the delivery of the parade, get in touch. You’ll be needed on Saturday 25th July, from approx 9-12:30 (time tbc). You also need to be available for a one hour training session on an evening during the week before the event (day and time tbc). Stewarding duties on the day will involve: ▪ Walking with the parade ▪ Assisting with crowd management ▪ Being part of the Handmade Team ▪ Helping us to deliver a safe event ▪ Helping to take artwork back to base after the event This role will be paid at National Minimum Wage and applicants must be 18+. The masterclass offers a rare opportunity to dive into the world of giant puppet-making with expert guidance from Andrew Kim of @thingumatheatre Over the course of this 10-day workshop, you’ll gain the skills and techniques needed to design and create stunning, processional giant puppets. Whether you’re an artist or a puppet maker, you’ll work alongside fellow creatives to build two different types of giant puppets—covering everything from design and mechanics to sculpture, papier-mâché, Worbla (thermoplastic), foam, painting, costume making, and performance.
