We had a great time at Barnsley Bright Nights para We had a great time at Barnsley Bright Nights parade on Saturday night.

These lanterns are part of the Eldon Beast project for Barnsley Museums. We’ve been working with Eldon Street HAZ to bring local buildings to life. It’s been a brilliant co-creation, well done to all involved!
More exciting stuff happening in Barnsley, getting More exciting stuff happening in Barnsley, getting ready for the Barnsley Bright Nights parade on Saturday night.
These fab lanterns are part of the Eldon Beast project for Barnsley Museums. We’re working with Eldon Street HAZ to bring local buildings to life. It’s been a brilliant, collaborative project and yes, it’s as much fun as it looks!
It’s almost time for Barnsley Bright Nights! We It’s almost time for Barnsley Bright Nights! 
We’ll be there this Saturday, and the artworks are coming together beautifully. We’ve been working with lots of different community groups and have been blown away by the talent and dedication. Check out this stunning Kestrel made by the Physical Health and Well-being group, alongside volunteers from RSPB Old Moor.

We love it! All of the feathers have been handmade by different people, and each includes a positive message. Can’t wait to see it fly through the town centre!

Want to join us? The parade leaves Mandela Gardens at 6pm and ends at The Glass Works Square, this Saturday 25 November. See you there!
Did you make a lantern for Halifax Christmas Parad Did you make a lantern for Halifax Christmas Parade? It’s time to let them SHINE! Collect them between 3-4pm from 42 Market St (on the corner of the market opposite Ziggys)
Then parade with us from 4:30-5:15pm. WE’RE EXCITED!!
LAST CHANCE to be part of the very exciting first LAST CHANCE to be part of the very exciting first ever HALIFAX CHRISTMAS PARADE!

Come along to our paper bag lantern workshop at Halifax Borough Market. No need to book, we’ll be there from 1pm-2.30pm. 

Or if you’d prefer to watch, join us TODAY, the parade begins at 4.30pm at Woolshops and will finish at the Piece Hall at around 5.15pm. There’s lots of fun stuff happening beforehand, so get there early and see walkabout puppets, stilt-walkers, bands and loads more!

It’s only Abby from BLUE PETER! She visited a couple of weeks ago and met the lovely group of young carers we’ve been working with. We had a fab day, and yes, we got a badge!😁
Here’s a reward for reading this far - part two of the secret! Blue Peter are coming to see us again tomorrow in Halifax, to catch up with the young carers as they take part in our Christmas Parade. Yaay! 

Keep your eyes peeled, the parade starts at 4:30pm at Woolshops and finishes at the Piece Hall around 5:15pm, it’s all very EXCITING.
