They requested a bespoke, hands-on CPD session as inspiration for a project about belonging. The young people of Halifax are very lucky, this team were absolutely lovely and their work is fab. We’ve had a lovely group of artists here, taking part in a masterclass with Kerith @redant_art to create a new giant puppet. Loads of learning and great company, it’s been a real pleasure. We’ll be back soon with the finished puppet, he’s nearly finished! In the meantime, can you tell who he is?

This is also an opportunity to meet other puppet makers from Handmade Productions, connect to fellow artists and to see a number of artworks up close. About Kerith: Kerith Ogden @redant_art is a freelance maker and illustrator based in West Yorkshire, UK. She has worked in the outdoor arts sector as an artist, director, event organiser and facilitator for 25 years, and specialises in making colourful, sculptural, outdoor lanterns and giant puppets, with a very strong focus on environmentally sustainable materials and processes.
